Desk Morales has survived red-carpet meltdowns, client blackouts, and seventeen consecutive hours of crisis PR — but nothing in her contract covers this. When Arrangement’s handler slides a debt note across a conference table with tonight’s due time circled in red, Desk finds herself strong-armed into one last job: fly to the airport VIP lounge, slip on a borrowed ring, and convince every camera in a private terminal that she is the secret fiancée of Wes Nash, Hollywood’s broodiest action star and the last man on earth who looks like he wants company.
The plan is simple. The execution is a disaster. Wes is sharper than his posters, more guarded than his press releases, and dangerously good at looking at her like she is the only real thing in the room. For three hours, Desk and Wes must manufacture couple history, survive nosy fans, outmaneuver a rival publicist sniffing for a scoop, and stay convincingly in love for cameras that never blink — all while a midnight morals-clause deadline and Arrangement’s leverage tighten around Desk like a second ring she never asked for.
Playing the devoted fiancée is the easy part. Surviving the heat between takes is something her hazard rate never accounted for.
